Judges

Judges will be announced over the coming months so keep an eye out for updates!

Judging process

The Energy Awards 2026 will have a two-stage judging process. In the first round, in order to be in with a chance of being shortlisted, you MUST answer all of the questions on this entry form.

If you fail to adequately answer any of the questions, or enter the wrong category, your entry maybe removed from the competition and not considered for shortlisting.

If you are shortlisted, and as part of the second stage of the process, you may then be required to provide additional information/financials/images/examples of product ahead of the judging days.

Again, failure to provide information when requested, at this stage, could result in your entry being removed from the shortlist.

The Energy Awards reserves the right to move your entry to a different category from the one you entered, if the team deem that an alternative category is more suitable for your entry.

Hints and tips for completing your entry

  • The Energy Awards is an annual event. Therefore, judges want to see what your company has done during the time period from June 2024 until the closing date of 16 January 2026, that sets you apart from the competition
  • In your submissions, please set out for the judges what you did that was innovative during the 18 months from 1 June 2024, until the closing date for the awards of 16 January 2026, as opposed to other years/time periods
  • Answer every question on the entry form as far as possible but do not exceed the word count. If a particular entry question is not applicable, please make this clear.
  • Please complete every answer as bullet points
  • Please note if you go over the wordcount, or fail to answer in bullet point form, you may risk your entry being removed and not considered
  • This year, there are two new categories, Data Centre Development of the Year and Renewable Energy Project of the Year. These additions reflect the evolving landscape of the energy sector and ensure the awards remain at the forefront of recognising the most impactful projects and innovations
  • All of our judges have to sign an NDA so please don’t worry about sharing sensitive information about your business, as this will not be shared with others outside of the judging process
  • Our categories are split into three sections: General, People/Organisations and Product. Please review all sections carefully to ensure you are entering the correct category for your project or business and remember, entries are free, so you can enter as many categories as you like.
